Helena Rey, FNP-BC, IBCLC

Helena Rey is the practice's primary pediatric clinician and an IBCLC-certified lactation consultant. She came to nursing as a second career — her first was as a librarian at the Boston Public Library children's room — and is the most disciplined documenter on staff. She owns CCH-002 and is the contributor of the device-placement procedural sections of CCH-005.

Her clinical interests are pediatric primary care to the AAP Bright Futures schedule, the integration of lactation support into the early infant schedule (rather than as a separate billed service), and adolescent reproductive care. The pediatric well-child completion rate at this practice is 89.7% in part because she has held the panel since 2019 and has refused to let any 2-week visit fall behind.

She performs IUC and Nexplanon placement and removal as part of the CCH-005 procedure list and is a training resource for the practice on the manufacturer-specific quirks of each device.
